- Fireman? Ballerina?
Taranaki St. Free Kindergarten, Wellington
A Kindergarten teacher.
I always loved little children, still do and I know I have a great way with kids, especially shy kids. I didn’t become a teacher because my roommates in college were always doing these art projects and I am NOT crafty.
Needless to say, I think it was a mistake because I would have been a creative and loving teacher.
Instead, I worked with grown-ups, counseling, hiring and doing negotiations. I should have stuck with the young crowd, they are so much nicer!
I wanted to be an archeologist/paleologist (spelling), but in my 5 year old mind, I figured by the time I had finished school and had my degree (my aunt told me how many years it would take to get a doctorate in that kind of stuff) EVERYTHING would have been found, lol.

I wanted to be a vampire. I loved Dark Shadows! Yes, at 5, I know I probably shouldn’t have been watching it, but……I loved it!

I never had thoughts about what I wanted to be at 5 or 55. My life has simply unfolded. Learning how to make the most of it (whatever “it” has been) is always my challenge.
