Another year ends
I turn inside to reflect
Lessons to be used.
*****
Embracing myself
like a soft, warm, purple, shawl
Leaning on me, now.
*****
Traditions now gone
With silver, I start anew
Confidence is rich.
*****
Attuned to your soul
Squinting from the glaring light
Always be truthful.
*****
Young bodies in light
Whispering their secret dreams
Pale, white bodies touch.

I love the fact that the first haiku brings us “inside” to reflect and the last haiku brings us to the “outside” to touch. Don’t know if you purposely created that order but it’s very evocative.

I think there’s a big thread that connects all the things I have been writing. I know what it is; it’s clear to me now. I’ll let you and other readers come to your own conclusions. or I will tell anyone who says “pretty please with a twinkie on top.” JK
