Hibernationnow’s Blog

Seashell

Hi,

Welcome to my blog. I may not have the most EXCITING life but I do have a life with many components that men and women, (mostly women) can relate to.  I am very honest, sometimes too honest which gets me in big trouble with my mother.  I am a middle (older) aged woman married for over 25 years and we have 2 grown-up children.  Marriage ( the good, the bad and the ugly) and two adult children (is that an oxymoron?) are achievements in themselves.  Being married for that long deserves not only a medal, but a long vacation in Hawaii;  I long for romance, he doesn’t have a romantic bone or thought in his body. Sigh.

I dream about living near the water, I love to collect shells, I am happiest at the beach, I write about many aspects of my life: LOVE: FOOD, FAMILY, FEELINGS, CELEBRITIES, FIBROMYALGIA, FOOD ( NO, IT’S NOT A TYPO.) I really LOVE food.

You will find all different topics, you won’t get bored. From watching Jimmy Fallon on TV (we tape it) to the stress of unemployment and my hatred of harsh, long winters, to my favorite restaurant or my delicious (alarming) food combinations (yum) it will all be here.

Expect the unexpected: the joy of marshmallow peeps or the grief from my father’s death, or the wonder of that special friend who sent me a package of Hostess’ orange cupcakes after Hostess closed. Thank goodness, they are back!

There is always something new and different. You meet a lot of great new people on blogs, some become new friends. To me, that’s like a Christmas present in April.

My philosophy when people ask me “if it’s true or fiction” is this: “There’s a bit of truth in fiction and a bit of fiction in truth.” You decide.

I’m really happy you’re here.

  4. Hello,

I am writing today in hopes of gaining your interest in reviewing the Dermagist Skin Care line on your blog. We often times do reviews / giveaways with bloggers such as yourself. I saw your site and thought perhaps it would be a good match for us both. Usually we provide you with a free product of your choice, such as the Complete Rejuvenation System. You can put a picture and a review on your website and even run a sweepstakes for your readers to win a Free Treatment (depending on which one you choose yourself) of their own. Then, when someone does win, you can simply email us the name and address of the winner and I will have one sent out to them right away. Our website is http://www.dermagist.com. Please take a chance to review our products as we have many products and different packages.

What we ask for from you is this. You must link to us from your review. If you choose to do a giveaway on your website, we ask that your contestants like us on Facebook and comment as to why they like or are excited to try the products, etc.
If this is of interest to you or you have any questions, please email me back and we can make arrangements to take the next step. Thanks for your time and your consideration. Have a pleasant day!

  9. Writing is helping me come out of my self imposed hibernation. After a year and a half of “medical surprises” i’m trying to rebuild. Ok, restart. A new beginning, “this is the dawning of the age of Acquarius……..” 53 year old woman, a husband two teenagers and a mutt named Callie. Join me in the adventure, say hello or pity me for even trying. I’m very insecure!!!
